"He knew I was going to get hurt...I didn’t appreciate it at all. I was furious."

April 30, 2020

Barbara Feldon, 87, who starred as Agent 99 on Mel Brooks and Buck Henry's iconic television spy spoof Get Smart, talks to Erin and Matt about growing up in Pittsburgh during the '30s and '40s with a distant but glamorous traveling salesman for a father. (Also, the time she moved to New York and won The $64,000 Question.

On the premiere episode of Tell Me About Your Father, Feldon discusses the aesthetic power of a man in a hat, how her relationship with her dad led her to become obsessed with God and, later, marry (and divorce!) a French sociopath. She talks honestly and openly about therapy and learning to shed her need for male approval.

Thanks for listening and take care,

Erin, Elizabeth and Matthew
